Jack has been originating home loans for over 25 years, and today he still is enthusiastic about the opportunity to assist seniors and their families with refinancing or purchasing a home with a reverse mortgage. For many people, home ownership continues the American Dream and remains the most valuable asset in a financial portfolio. Home is where most seniors want to live for many years to come. Therefore, education is the best tool for making important decisions and to answer important questions such as “do I want to get a reverse mortgage? Is it a smart decision?” Focusing exclusively on seniors who seek guidance is his first priority. Jack always takes the time to ensure that everyone gets their questions answered. He strives to make the financial aspect of each and every transaction as understandable as possible. So, if you don’t know Jack, you should! Following his graduation from Whitman College with a degree in Political Science, Jack attended Georgetown University and then enlisted in the United States Army. He attended Officer Candidate School and served for six years. During his time in the service, he was Special Operations Officer in Berlin. He then graduated from Gonzaga University School of Law and practiced for 14 years. Transitioning from law to financial services he sold securities and insurance for several years and eventually opened his own mortgage company. Having had additional opportunities through various mortgage companies over the years and not wanting to stop working with seniors, he has again opened his own shop, Jack Tenold LLC. He is a member of the National Reverse Mortgage Lenders Association and has been an Accredited Member of the Better Business Bureau for many years.
